the message:day 4

[Read & meditate on Matthew 10.7. Now Jesus tells his disciples to communicate the same message. What message are you communicating?]

As I look at Matthew 10.7, I have to read on and see what else was supposed to accompany the message. This message was to be accompanied by actions that would verify that God is really putting people’s lives back together, right now! In verse 8 he says, “heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!” It was to be more than just talk–it was accompanied by action.
I need to examine my words and actions. Am I more inclined to leave people broken than to assist in putting them back together? Am I more content to cut people apart than I am to helping them heal? Am I more focused on keeping myself away from the margins than I am focused on bringing others in from the margins of life? Do I do it? When I communicate and live this message of Jesus’ rescue to bring us back to the life we were created to have, do I do so with no strings attached?
Whose kingdom am I declaring?
