There is a phrase that is repeated over and over in the Old Testament, describing God’s love for us. It is “steadfast love.” I suppose we often see that and think it sounds nice, and then we just move on. The Hebrew word that we translate into “steadfast love” is another one of those little words with a big meaning, too big to be captured with just two words. Here is how one scholar who has studied it’s meaning defines it:
the consistent, ever-faithful, relentless, constantly-pursuing, lavish, extravagant, unrestrained, furious love of our Father God!
This is the love that was revealed to us in Christ and the love that He has for you, even on your worst day! May you enjoy the hesed of God for you today!
Keep letting Jesus love you!
